Things To Do

Whether you're staying for the weekend or making a mini vacation out of it,

San Antonio has something for everyone—history buffs, foodies, families,

and folks who just want to relax and vibe.

Here are some of our favorite local spots to check out while you’re in town:

BROWN COFFEE CO. (NOW A MEMORY)

812 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78210

Where we had our very first date—great coffee,

even better memories.

This cozy little shop may no longer be open, but it holds a special place in our hearts.

Though you can’t grab a latte here anymore, we’ll always remember the nervous laughs, the long conversation, and the spark that started it all.

RIP to the best espresso and the start of something beautiful.

TITO'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT

1012 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78210

The first meal we ever shared.

Don't leave without getting some

Pastel Diplomatico.

It may not be Gabriella's ChocoFlan, but Bobby says

he knew she was the one the day she baked the same dessert from scratch.

So if you want a taste of our beginning—and something sweet enough to spark forever—this

cozy spot is the place to go.

Taco Palenque

Multiple Locations

One of our go-to spots! You have to try the

Pirata Taco—don’t ask,

just order it.

Pericos

10820 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78250

Gabriella used to work here, so we’re biased—but the salsa really is the best in town. Go for the chips and queso, stay for the nostalgia.

Palenque Grill

15900 La Cantera Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78256

Fancy sit-down version of Taco Palenque.

Gabriella also used to work here.

Selena Bridge Located on the River Walk

📍Navarro St. and N. St. Mary’s St.

(Yes—the one from the Selena movie!). Take photos, enjoy the view, maybe recreate a movie moment.

Selena Mural at Alamo Candy

📍 1149 W. Hildebrand Ave

A colorful tribute painted on the side of the Alamo Candy building. Great for photos and picking up fun local sweets.

South Side Murals

📍 Along Roosevelt Ave & nearby neighborhoods

Look for vibrant murals celebrating Selena’s life, lyrics, and style.

Self Guided Mini Selena Tour

Mermaid Trail

Gabriella loves mermaids, and is a Texas State University Alum.

So naturally this artsy, whimsical trail is one of our favorites!

If you're up for a little adventure, take a short drive (~45 minutes from San Antonio)

to explore the Mermaid Capital of Texas.

The Mermaid Trail is a self-guided walking tour featuring giant, artist-painted mermaid statues scattered around downtown San Marcos. Each one is uniquely decorated to celebrate the river, local wildlife, and the city's creative spirit (plus one tribute to a swimming pig named Ralph—yes, really).

Buc-ee's

2760 Interstate 35, New Braunfels, TX 78130

No Texas Road Trip is complete without stopping at this beloved Texas Sized gas station.

Especially on the way to see the Mermaids!!

If you know, you know.

And if you don't...

Bless your heart.

You'll walk out saying

"In my Buc-ee's Era"

The Outlets In San Marcos

3939 Interstate 35, San Marcos, TX 78666

If you’re up for some shopping therapy during your visit, the Outlets at San Marcos are a must-stop.

With over 145 stores featuring top brands at great prices, it’s Texas’ largest outlet shopping destination.

(You should stop by after visiting the Mermaids)

Fun Fact:

Gabriella used to work at Guess Factory with her bridesmaid Carla, so you know it’s a local favorite!
